PRIVATE LESSONS AND GROUP CLASSES

At En Route Academy, we are passionate about providing the best environment for each of our students’ unique learning styles. All of our music students thrive in weekly private lessons—with professional and fun lesson plans that are tailor-made to help each student learn at their own pace and in their own way, with undivided attention from their instructors. Although we recommend private lessons as the best way for students to develop their musical skills, there are occasional times when certain students may benefit from a semester or two in a group setting, absorbing new material in a more social environment with positive and motivating classroom conversations. Our weekly group classes range from 2-4 students in a lesson together. Each semester, we are able to create a group class when we have at least 2 students who are registered for the same area of study, are nearly the same ages and experience levels, have similar scheduling availability, and are both interested in (or in need of) group classes instead of private lessons. Students who participate in group lessons often advance at slightly different paces from each other and will eventually need private lessons after one or two semesters of group.

Piano

In our piano lessons, students are guided through a fun, multi-layered approach to the discovery of piano geography, music theory, proper technique, ear training and sight reading, as well as musical interpretation, practice strategies, and performance tips. With graduated lesson plans and strategic, rich songs that stretch muscle coordination, students have the ability to develop their own sense of musicality and musical independence. Complete with both solo and ensemble pieces, music theory books, and music games, our piano lessons will generate a love of music and a solid musical foundation that can springboard students toward easily picking up other instruments and learning to sing, as well!

Group classes may be available for piano, when scheduling allows.

Guitar

Are you eager to learn that crazy riff you heard on the radio? Does the thought of cranking out familiar tunes for your friends get you pumped? Check out En Route Academy guitar lessons! Our guitar lessons foster a holistic musical approach while instigating the stimulating process of learning new skills. Guitar students will be led through the discovery of guitar geography, music notation, basic rhythm and strumming patterns, a collection of open chords, creating good tone, proper fingering technique, and music theory. Dive into guitar lessons and start learning your favorite jams!

Group classes may be available for guitar, when scheduling allows.

Voice

If you are one who dreams of touring with your music, auditioning for that talent show, crooning in coffee shops, performing on Broadway, or simply sounding amazing as you sing to yourself at home, En Route Academy is the launching pad for you! Our voice lessons incorporate studies in the development of proper breathing, pitch control, vocal agility, and bridging over that ever-present nuisance—the break! No matter your level of experience, the En Route Academy voice track guides students in discovering the anatomy of the human voice and developing the ability to maneuver and control their own unique voice in order to sound fantastic, no matter the occasion. Whatever genre you love to sing, whatever goals you may hope to achieve, En Route Academy will be your biggest fan as you progress down the road towards vocal success!
